Big Fat Greek Day is operated by Nobel Deer Digital BV, registered in The Netherlands. For data protection purposes, we are the “data controller” of your personal information.
What Information We Collect
When You Use Our Free Tools
Our wedding calculators and free resources ask for your email address to send you your personalised results. We may also collect the information you enter into the tool (such as guest numbers or budget details) to provide your results and improve our tools.
When You Make a Purchase
To process your order, we collect your name, email address, and billing information. Payment card details are handled directly by Stripe and we never see or store your full card number.
When You Book a Consultation
- Booking and intake information you give us – your name, email address, your wedding date or estimated month, your venue or location ideas, and your answers to our intake questions, including any details you choose to share about what you want to figure out on the call. Please share only what you are comfortable with; some of these fields are free text, so the information you include is up to you.
- Your call recording, where you have asked us to record your call. A recording captures the audio and, where applicable, the video and on-screen content of everyone who joins the call. We only record where you have given consent, and you can decline recording at any time before the call.
- Follow-up correspondence – any emails you send us during your follow-up window, and our replies.
When You Create an Account
If you create an account on our planning platform, we collect your name and email address to manage your account and provide access to your purchased products.
When You Browse Our Website
We automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, and how you interact with our website. This helps us understand how people use our site and improve your experience.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Deliver your calculator results and purchased products
- Prepare for and deliver your consultation, including building your Insider Dossier, budget, timeline, and other Deliverables
- Create your call recording and deliver it to you, where you have consented to recording
- Answer your follow-up questions within your follow-up window
- Process payments and manage your account
- Send wedding planning tips and updates (with your consent)
- Improve our website, tools, and products
- Respond to your questions and provide customer support
Legal Basis for Processing
Under GDPR, we process your data based on:
Contract: To fulfil purchases, deliver products you have ordered, and prepare and deliver your consultation and its Deliverables.
Consent: To send marketing emails and wedding planning tips, and to record your consultation call. You can withdraw either consent at any time.
Legitimate Interest: To improve our website and understand how it is used, and to keep records of our consultations for a limited period.
Where someone other than the person who booked joins your call (for example a partner or a parent), we rely on the consent you give when you confirm you have the authority to agree to recording on their behalf, and we record only what is necessary to produce the recording you have asked for., we process your data based on:
Who We Share Your Information With
We never sell your personal information. We share data only with trusted service providers who help us run our business:
Stripe processes payments securely
Google (Google Workspace) provides our consultation booking and scheduling (Google Calendar appointment scheduling), our video calls (Google Meet), and storage of call recordings (Google Drive)
Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our website. This runs only where you have accepted analytics cookies.
YouTube provides the videos embedded on some of our pages. YouTube may set its own cookies, and this runs only where you have accepted the relevant cookies.
Cloudflare provides content delivery, performance, and security and bot protection for our website, and processes technical data such as your IP address for these purposes.
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) manages our email communications
Softr hosts our planning platform and shop
Airtable stores order, booking, and account information
Zapier connects our systems to automate order and booking processing
We also use CookieYes to manage your cookie choices and record your consent.
All our service providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.
We may also share information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

How Long We Keep Your Data
Marketing and account data: We keep your information while you remain subscribed to our emails or have an active account. If your account is inactive for 24 months, we will anonymise your data so it can no longer be associated with you.
Consultation intake and notes: We keep your intake information and consultation notes for up to 12 months after your call, to deliver your Deliverables, handle your follow-up, and for our own records, after which we delete or anonymise them.
Call recordings: We keep your call recording only as long as needed to produce and deliver it to you, and we delete it within 90 days of your call. If you would like your recording deleted sooner, just ask.
Purchase records: We retain order information (such as your name, the product, and the amount paid) for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting requirements. This is separate from your intake notes and recording above.
Anonymised data may be kept indefinitely for research and analytics purposes.
Your Rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your data (subject to legal retention requirements), including asking us to delete your call recording
- Object to processing based on legitimate interests
- Withdraw consent for marketing, or for call recording, at any time
- Data portability to receive your data in a portable format

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local supervisory authority.
Marketing Emails
We only send marketing emails if you have opted in. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. If you opt out, we will stop sending marketing emails, though we may still send transactional emails related to your purchases and bookings.

International Data Transfers
Some of our service providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where this is the case, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, including secure connections (HTTPS), encrypted payment processing, access controls, and storing call recordings in access-controlled storage. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
