Christina’s Picks 2026: The Best Greek Wedding Planners

Christina's pick 2026 Greece wedding venue badge

The Best Greek wedding planners for 2026 I’d recommend to a close friend. Independent. Unpaid.

Chosen for their ability to deliver a real wedding, not just a photogenic one.

Ten planners across three categories. Built around the question couples actually ask: what kind of planning relationship do I want?

Balance, not ranking

A best-of list assumes every couple wants the same wedding. They don’t. Each category here is deliberately balanced across style, scale, and price point. You’ll find boutique founder-led practices alongside larger team-based agencies, mainland and island specialists, multicultural experts and traditional Greek celebrants. No pick is ranked higher than another. Each is the best of its kind, for a specific kind of couple with a specific kind of vision.

If you don’t have a budget yet, my free budget calculator prices the whole wedding for your guest count and your part of Greece, planning help included, so you know where you stand before you talk to a planner.

The Boutique & Personal Planners

For couples who want one main relationship throughout the planning journey. Founder-led, intimate scale, with the same person who answered your first email present on the wedding day. These four planners cap their bookings deliberately so they can stay personally involved in every celebration.

Weddings by Margreet – €€

Christina's Pick 2026 badge Big Fat Greek Day
a newlywed couple having their wedding kiss in front of the aegean sea

Specializes in: Crete destination weddings | Style: Dutch precision meets Mediterranean warmth

Why I recommend her: Margreet Riemeijer is a Dutch expat who fell in love with Greece 20 years ago and has been planning Crete weddings for more than 14 years. What makes her stand out is that she often serves as both planner and ceremony celebrant, which means the person guiding you through 12 months of planning is also the one delivering your vows. Couples consistently describe her as their “angel,” with phrases like “always available day and night” coming up across her 4.8-rated reviews. The fluency in English, Dutch, and Greek matters more than couples expect, especially for European families navigating the legal paperwork.

What makes her special:

  • More than 14 years specializing exclusively in Crete destination weddings
  • Often officiates the ceremony herself, creating cohesive personal touches
  • Trilingual in English, Dutch, and Greek for international couples and families
  • Strong relationships with signature venues like Agreco Farm, plus access to hidden gems
  • Handles intimate 17-guest beach ceremonies and 80+ guest multi-venue weddings
  • Based in Kolimbari with deep western Crete venue knowledge

You can find her full profile and contact information on the Weddings by Margreet directory page.

Stepsis – €

Christina's Pick 2026 badge Big Fat Greek Day
a beautifully set beach wedding in crete with the aegean sea in the background

Specializes in: Traditional Cretan village weddings | Style: Authentic Greek cultural celebrations with international polish

Why I recommend them: Founded in 2013 by Natasa Mavromati, Stepsis brings something rare to the Crete wedding scene: formal hospitality education from Switzerland’s Glion Institute combined with deep local roots in Rethymno. Couples consistently praise their organized vendor selection system that takes the stress out of planning, with one bride noting she “didn’t experience the level of stress most brides do.” Their specialism in traditional Cretan village weddings is genuinely hard to replicate, and Natasa personally attends every wedding from start to finish.

What makes them special:

  • Founder Natasa holds a Master’s degree from Glion Institute in Switzerland
  • Genuine specialism in traditional Cretan village weddings
  • Four distinct package tiers from paperwork-only to full-scale planning
  • Limited capacity (max 5 large, 20 medium weddings per season) to protect quality
  • Rethymno location offers excellent access to mountain villages and coastal venues
  • Strong track record with international couples from the US, New Zealand, and Europe

You can find their full profile and contact information on the Stepsis directory page.

Belli Momenti – €€

Christina's Pick 2026 badge Big Fat Greek Day
a beautiful outdoor hall setup for a greek wedding with many tables and decorations

Specializes in: Boutique Corfu weddings with emotional depth | Style: Calm, design-led, couple-centered storytelling

Why I recommend them: Aris runs Belli Momenti with a small, selective practice that takes on a limited number of weddings each year. What stands out in his reviews is how often couples mention switching from other planners and being “rescued” by him. Families with very high standards describe their wedding as “the best of their lives,” and that’s not language people use lightly. With a 4.9 rating across 67 reviews, Aris and his coordinator Nafsika have built a reputation for transforming the planning experience from stressful to genuinely enjoyable.

What makes them special:

  • Aris operates selectively with high standards, indicating premium personal service
  • Coordinator Nafsika handles lightning-fast responses and meticulous detail management
  • Comprehensive vendor recommendations with suppliers who work seamlessly together
  • Intimate knowledge of local Corfu vendors and venues built over years
  • Comfortable with civil, religious, cultural, double weddings, and elopements
  • Eco-friendly options available for couples wanting low-impact celebrations

You can find their full profile and contact information on the Belli Momenti directory page.

Pompon Story – €

Christina's Pick 2026 badge Big Fat Greek Day
a colorfully lit greek wedding dance floor in the golden hour with the mountains in the background

Specializes in: Mainland Greece & lesser-known islands | Style: Bold, contemporary, design-led

Why I recommend her: Founded by Georgia Apostolidou in 2016, Pompon Story stands out for its aesthetic point of view. Georgia describes her style as “bold, contemporary, trendsetting, and bespoke,” and the styled shoots in her portfolio show genuine creative ambition. Her engineering background translates into precise organization, which reviewers note repeatedly. What I love is how often the small touches come up: anti-mosquito spray for every guest at a beach wedding, the discreet handling of a logistical hiccup the couple never noticed.

What makes her special:

  • Founded and led by Georgia, with one main planner relationship throughout
  • Genuine design point of view, particularly strong with florals and stationery
  • Deepest vendor relationships in Northern Greece and Pelion specifically
  • Track record across Skopelos, Milos, Koufonisia, Halkidiki, and Costa Navarino
  • Has executed weddings on tight timelines including a two-month pandemic wedding
  • Civil engineering background brings precise organization and time management

You can find her full profile and contact information on the Pompon Story directory page.

Golden Apple Weddings – €€

Christina's Pick 2026 badge Big Fat Greek Day
destination wedding rhodes

Specializes in: International destination weddings and multicultural celebrations | Style: Collaborative, warm, design-driven

Why I recommend them: Golden Apple is led by Katia, Katerina, and Roxanne, a trio of planners based in Rhodes who consistently get mentioned by name in their reviews. International couples praise how they handle complex logistics from abroad while keeping communication constant and personal. With a perfect five-star rating across 36 reviews, the recurring theme in feedback is that couples end up feeling like they have gained family rather than hired a service.

What makes them special:

  • Three-planner team where each member plays to their strengths: Roxanne on venue research, Katerina on design detail, Katia on overall coordination and cultural elements
  • Genuine specialism in multicultural weddings blending different traditions
  • Full planning, partial planning, and day-of coordination available
  • Strong vendor network across Rhodes and the wider Greek wedding scene
  • Comfortable handling civil, symbolic, religious, cultural, double weddings, and elopements
  • Particularly strong fit for couples planning entirely from abroad

Specializes in: US and international destination weddings across Greece | Style: Joyful, structured, tech-enabled

Why I recommend them: Founded by Maria, Make Happy Memories has built a real team rather than a solo brand, with each planner covering different couples and broader bench support during peak season. With over 15 years of experience and a 4.9 rating across 114 reviews, they’ve handled everything from intimate elopements to a 300-guest celebration in Crete. Their proprietary app, Flowergirl, comes up specifically across multiple reviews for managing budgets, vendor options, and weekly tasks across time zones. Coverage spans Athens Riviera, Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Sifnos, Tinos, Folegandros, Crete, Corfu, Nafplio, Monemvasia, and Parga.

  • LGBTQ+ celebrations handled with explicit care and welcome
  • Proprietary planning app, Flowergirl, for budget and vendor management
  • Couples paired with a dedicated lead planner from day one

White Stories Event Planning – €€€

Christina's Pick 2026 badge Big Fat Greek Day
A newlywed couple holding hands with the sea behind them

Specializes in: Multicultural and Greek Orthodox church weddings | Style: Design-led, high-end, deeply personal

Why I recommend them: Founded in 2013 by Dimitris, who left a 14-year career at multinational FMCG companies to build the agency with his wife Katerina, White Stories has spent over a decade handling celebrations many planners shy away from. Indian, Hindu, Arabic, Jewish, and Greek-Arabic weddings feature heavily in their portfolio, and they’re one of the few teams who guide international couples through the bureaucratic maze of Greek Orthodox church paperwork. The reviews tell a story of planning relationships that turn into genuine friendship by the time the wedding rolls around.

What makes them special:

  • Over a decade of experience with multicultural and culturally complex celebrations
  • Genuine expertise with Greek Orthodox church paperwork for non-Greek couples
  • Five-person team led by founder Dimitris and head planner Anna
  • Athens base provides logistical flexibility for multi-destination weddings
  • Strong reach into Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Sifnos, Hydra, and the Peloponnese
  • Comfortable with kosher catering, Hindu rituals, and Arabic traditions

You can find their full profile and contact information on the White Stories directory page.

The team featuring Katerina, Ioanna, and Irene receives consistent praise across 73 reviews for making complex Santorini coordination feel effortless, especially across time zones. What stays with me reading their reviews is how often couples specifically credit the team with making long-distance planning feel relaxed and stress-free, language you don’t often hear in destination wedding feedback.

What makes them special:

  • Specialism in luxury Santorini weddings with proven venue relationships
  • Multi-planner team approach for specialized attention across complex events
  • Premium vendor networks built over years of high-end celebrations
  • Strong track record with international couples coordinating from different time zones

beach wedding in greece with a newlywed couple kissing by the sea

Specializes in: Multi-day cultural and luxury Santorini weddings | Style: Meticulous, design-led, emotionally rich

Why I recommend them: Headquartered in Firostefani, Santorini, Poema has been operating for more than 15 years with the same core team showing up across nearly all the reviews. That kind of continuity is rare in the wedding industry. Filia is the lead planner that international couples from Australia, the US, the UK, and Canada describe as becoming family by the end of the process, and Vassiliki gets specific recognition across multiple reviews for florals and styling that exceed what couples imagined. Their handling of multi-day Indian and Hindu celebrations sets them apart for culturally complex weddings.

What makes them special:

  • Over 15 years of dedicated wedding planning with consistent team continuity
  • Particular experience with multi-day Indian and Hindu weddings
  • Track record of three-day celebrations on the Athens Riviera and Santorini
  • Handles Greek Orthodox church paperwork for non-Greek couples

Why I recommend them: Helena and her team at Rock Paper Scissors have built a clear specialism in coordinating Greek weddings for US families, with organized preparation systems that take the cognitive load off couples planning from abroad. With a 4.7 rating across 49 reviews, what stands out is how often couples mention feeling heard, especially ones who came in with strong visions of their own and didn’t want a planner who’d steamroll them. They’ve handled everything from Indian-American fusion ceremonies to a gay Jewish wedding where the couple specifically mentioned feeling welcomed.

What makes them special:

  • Genuine specialism in US family coordination for Greek destination weddings
  • Weekly task list system designed to reduce planning anxiety
  • Athens and broader Greece focus, particularly strong on the Athens Riviera

How Christina’s Picks are made

Wedding publications usually reward Instagram aesthetics, sponsorship relationships, or long standing familiarity. Big Fat Greek Day does none of that. Here is what I actually do when building this list every year.

Factors, weighed together

I weigh three sources when deciding whether a planner makes the list. Conversations with couples who have actually married with them. And close reading of reviews across the public platforms, the complaint patterns, the responses to criticism, the way a vendor behaves when they have nothing to sell. No single source decides a pick. The pattern across all three does.

No payments, no sponsored tiers, no exceptions

No vendor in Christina’s Picks has paid to be there. There is no paid tier, no sponsorship category, no upgrade path to getting featured. If you are a vendor who has offered payment in the past, the answer was no. It will continue to be no. The value of a Christina’s Pick depends entirely on being unbuyable.

Delivery over aesthetics

Greek wedding venues photograph well. Almost all of them. What separates a Christina’s Pick is what happens between the photos: coordination under pressure, responsiveness across time zones, how a vendor handles a supplier cancellation or a sudden weather shift. A wedding is a once in a lifetime event where small things go wrong quietly. The right vendor hides it from you. That is what I select for.

Balance, not ranking

Each year’s picks are deliberately balanced across styles, budgets, and scales. Rustic restored estates alongside five star resorts. Boutique planners alongside full service multi-language teams. No pick is ranked higher than another. Each is the best of its kind for a specific kind of couple with a specific kind of vision. The goal is that any couple planning a Greek wedding finds something here that fits their story.

Earned, not owned

Picks expire. Each year’s list is rebuilt from scratch. A 2026 pick has to earn its place again to become a 2027 pick. Some won’t. That is by design. The rotation is what keeps the list trustworthy.

If you run a wedding planning business in Greece and would like to be considered for a future Christina’s Pick, you are welcome to get in touch.

There is no application fee, no submission tier, no paid pathway.
Just a conversation.
