Factor in damage deposits too. Suddenly that “affordable” estate is €2,000-€4,000 more than you budgeted – the research shows these infrastructure costs add 20-25% to the base villa fee.
When estates win: Multi-day celebrations where you want that intimate gathering with welcome dinners and day-after brunches. When you’ve found incredible independent vendors you want to work with. And critically – when you can leverage that zero-corkage policy. Mykonos is the island most often picked for the wrong reasons, the party reputation, the Instagram moment, and least often chosen for what it actually delivers well. These three get it right at three different price points.
My ultra-luxury pick: Kalesma Mykonos – €€€€

Three properties I would personally recommend if you were sitting across from me asking where to get married in Rhodes. Two are in Lindos, the village every Rhodes wedding article eventually circles back to, and one is a private villa near Rhodes Town for couples who want the whole crew under one roof.
