Welcome to Big Fat Greek Day! These Terms of Use explain how you can use our website, our digital products, and our consultation services. We have tried to keep things clear and straightforward, but these terms are legally binding, so please read them carefully.

By using our website (bigfatgreekday.com and plan.bigfatgreekday.com), by using our free tools, by purchasing a digital product, or by booking a consultation, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Who We Are

Big Fat Greek Day is operated by Nobel Deer Digital BV, a company registered in The Netherlands. You can contact us at christina@bigfatgreekday.com. Our registered business address is available on request.

In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Nobel Deer Digital BV trading as Big Fat Greek Day. “You” means the person using our website, buying a product, or booking a consultation. “Couple” means you and the partner you are planning your wedding with.

A Few Definitions

To keep things clear:

Website means bigfatgreekday.com and plan.bigfatgreekday.com.
Free Tools means our calculators, guides, and downloadable resources offered at no charge in exchange for your email address.
Digital Products means paid downloadable or account-based products, such as the Budget Kit, planning guides, and the Planning Bundle.
Consultation means our paid one-to-one service, “An Hour with Christina”.
Deliverables means the written and recorded materials we provide as part of a Consultation, including your Insider Dossier, populated budget, working-backwards timeline, authenticity notes, and call recording.

Using Our Website

You must be at least 18 years old to use our website, create an account, make purchases, or book a consultation.

We provide our website and tools “as is” and do our best to keep everything running smoothly. However, we may need to update, change, or temporarily take down parts of the website for maintenance. We will not be liable for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please use our website responsibly. Do not attempt to access areas you are not authorised to use, interfere with our systems, or use automated tools to scrape content.

Accounts

Some features require you to create an account. Please keep your login details secure and let us know immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You are responsible for all activity on your account. Do not share your account with others outside your household.

Free Tools and Resources

We offer free wedding planning tools such as calculators and guides. These require you to provide your email address to receive your results. By using these tools, you consent to receiving your results by email and may opt in to receive additional wedding planning tips from us.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send.

Free Tools are provided for general guidance only. Any figures, estimates, or timelines they produce are illustrative and not a quote, a guarantee, or professional advice.

Digital Products

What You Get

When you purchase a Digital Product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use that product for your own wedding planning purposes.

We understand wedding planning is a team effort. You may share purchased products with your partner or fiancé(e) who is planning the same wedding with you.

What You Cannot Do

Our products are for personal use only. You may not resell, redistribute, share publicly, or use our products for commercial purposes. You may not claim our content as your own or remove any branding or attribution.

Product Updates

If we update a product you have purchased (for example, adding new content or making improvements), you will receive access to the updated version at no extra cost. This does not include completely new or separate products.

Delivery

Digital products are delivered electronically via download links, email, or your account. It is your responsibility to download and save your purchased files.

Immediate Access

Because our Digital Products are delivered immediately, at checkout you will be asked to confirm that you want access straight away and that you understand this affects your statutory right to cancel (see “Your Right to Cancel”). This confirmation is required to complete your purchase.

Consultation Services – ”An Hour with Christina”

This section applies when you book and pay for a Consultation.

What it is

A Consultation is a one-to-one, sixty-minute online conversation with Christina, delivered by video call, together with a set of written and recorded Deliverables. It is built on Christina’s personal experience of planning her own wedding in Crete and several years of researching Greek weddings for couples planning from abroad.

Depending on the package you book, a Consultation may include:

a 60-minute video call with Christina;
an Insider Dossier within 72 hours, with a written shortlist of vendors and venues, Christina’s notes, and warm introductions where she has a direct relationship;
a populated Greek wedding budget and the Budget Kit spreadsheet;
a working-backwards timeline / critical path, setting out suggested dates to act by, working back from your wedding date;
authenticity guidance on incorporating genuine Greek customs, music, and food;
a recording of your call; and
one round of follow-up questions by email within 7 days of your call.

The exact inclusions for your booking are those described on the consultation page at the time of purchase.

What It Is Not

Christina is not a wedding planner, and a Consultation is not a wedding planning, day-of-coordination, styling, or vendor-management service. It does not include legal, immigration, tax, financial, or accounting advice, and it is not a substitute for professional advice from a qualified lawyer, accountant, or licensed planner in your country or in Greece.

The information, opinions, budgets, timelines, and recommendations we provide are general guidance based on Christina’s own experience and research. They are not a guarantee of any particular outcome, price, availability, or legal result. You remain responsible for your own decisions and for verifying any legal, official, or contractual requirements directly with the relevant authorities and vendors (see “Your Responsibilities” below).

Booking and Intake

You book and pay for your Consultation through our booking system. After booking, you will be asked to complete an intake form so Christina can prepare for your call. The quality of your Deliverables depends in part on the information you provide, so please complete the intake form honestly and on time. We are not responsible for limitations in your Deliverables caused by incomplete, inaccurate, or late intake information.

Preparation Begins Before Your Call

A Consultation is not just the hour on the call. Christina reviews your intake form and calculator results, prepares a tailored brief, and begins building your shortlist and budget before you meet. When you book, you ask us to begin this preparation straight away. You acknowledge that this means we start performing the service before any cancellation window expires, and that this affects your right to a refund as described in “Rescheduling, Cancellations and No-Shows” and “Your Right to Cancel” below.

With your consent, your call is recorded and the recording is provided to you as one of your Deliverables, so that the plan can be shared with a partner, parents, or others helping to fund or organise your wedding who were not on the call.

Because a recording captures the voices, and possibly images, of everyone on the call, we will ask for your express consent to record before or at the start of the call, and you confirm that you have the authority to consent on behalf of anyone joining the call with you. If you do not wish the call to be recorded, please tell us before the call and we will not record it; in that case the recording Deliverable will not be available.

We use the recording only to produce and deliver it to you, and we do not publish it or share it with third parties. Once you share your recording with others, you are responsible for how they use it. We store recordings only as long as needed to deliver them to you and for a short reasonable period afterwards, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Follow-up Window

Where your package includes follow-up, you may send one round of follow-up questions by email within 7 days of your call. This is intended for clarifying what we covered together. It is not a second consultation, ongoing planning support, or new research, and it does not extend or renew automatically.

Vendor Introductions and Recommendations

Christina takes no commission, kickback, or referral fee from any vendor or venue, ever. Any vendor or venue she recommends or introduces is recommended because, in her honest opinion, it is worth your consideration — not because she is paid to recommend it.

A recommendation or warm introduction is not an endorsement, guarantee, or warranty of any vendor or venue, their pricing, their availability, their conduct, or the quality of their work. We are not the agent of any vendor or venue, and they are not our agents. Any contract you enter into is directly between you and that vendor or venue, on their terms, and at your own risk. We are not a party to those contracts and are not responsible for the acts, omissions, pricing, cancellations, or disputes of any third-party vendor or venue.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

verifying all legal, civil, religious, and documentation requirements for marrying in Greece directly with the competent Greek authorities, your own authorities, and, where needed, a qualified lawyer;
confirming all prices, availability, terms, and contracts directly with each vendor or venue before you rely on them or pay them;
treating budgets, timelines, and lead times we provide as estimates that can change; and
behaving respectfully during your call. We may end a call, without refund, if a participant is abusive or threatening.

Rescheduling, Cancellations and No-Shows

Rescheduling. You may reschedule your call up to 48 hours before the scheduled time at no charge.
Cancelling more than 48 hours before your call. If you cancel more than 48 hours before your call, and before we have begun substantial preparation, you are entitled to a full refund.
Cancelling within 48 hours of your call. Within the 48 hours before your call, the booking is non-refundable, because by then we have already begun the preparation work described above.
No-shows. If you do not attend your scheduled call and have not rescheduled it in line with this policy, the Consultation is treated as delivered and no refund is due.

Our Satisfaction Guarantee

If you attend your call and feel it did not give you a clear way forward, tell us before we send your Insider Dossier and we will refund you in full. Once your Insider Dossier has been delivered to you, the service is complete and this guarantee no longer applies.

This guarantee is something we offer in addition to, and does not replace, any mandatory statutory rights you may have as a consumer (see “Your Right to Cancel”).

Payments and Pricing

We accept payments in multiple currencies including USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, and CAD. Prices are displayed in your local currency where possible. Consultations are priced in EUR; any founding or introductory rate applies only while advertised and may change for future bookings.

All prices include applicable taxes. For customers in the European Union, VAT is calculated based on your location and included in the displayed price.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

Your Right to Cancel (Consumers in the EU and Similar Jurisdictions)

If you are a consumer, you may have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 days. Because of the nature of our products and services, the following applies.

Digital Products. When you buy a Digital Product and ask for immediate access, you expressly consent to us beginning delivery before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once delivery has begun. You give this consent at checkout. Until you have given that consent and accessed or downloaded the product, your withdrawal right is unaffected.

Consultations. When you book a Consultation, you expressly request that we begin preparation immediately, before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. We treat the service as fully performed once your Insider Dossier has been delivered to you. If you withdraw after preparation has begun but before the service is fully performed, you may be charged a proportionate amount for the work already done, reflecting what has been performed up to that point. This is consistent with the rescheduling and cancellation policy above. Separately, and in addition to your statutory rights, we offer the Satisfaction Guarantee described above.

Nothing in this section removes any consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law of your country of residence.

Refunds

Subject to your statutory rights described in “Your Right to Cancel”, and to the rescheduling and cancellation policy for Consultations:

Digital Products are not refundable once you have accessed or downloaded them. Consultations are refundable if you cancel more than 48 hours before your call, or if you attend and tell us the call did not give you a clear way forward before we send your Insider Dossier.
Consultations are otherwise non-refundable, including cancellations within 48 hours of the call, no-shows, and once your Insider Dossier has been delivered.

If you experience a technical problem accessing a Digital Product or your Deliverables, please contact us at christina@bigfatgreekday.com and we will do everything we can to help you, including re-delivering your files.

Nature of Our Information – No Professional Advice

Everything we publish, sell, or share — including blog content, Free Tools, Digital Products, and Consultations – is general information and personal opinion to help you plan your wedding. It is not legal, immigration, tax, financial, medical, or other professional advice, and no professional or advisory relationship is created by your use of our website, products, or services.

Greek requirements, costs, lead times, and availability change over time and vary by location and circumstance. Always confirm anything that matters with the relevant authorities, qualified professionals, and vendors before you rely on it.

Our Content and Your Deliverables

All content on our website and in our products and Deliverables – including text, images, designs, branding, the Insider Dossier, budgets, timelines, the Budget Kit, and recordings — belongs to Nobel Deer Digital BV or our licensors, except for your own personal information and any materials you provide to us.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use your Deliverables for planning your own wedding, including sharing them with your partner and with the people helping to fund or organise your wedding. You may not resell, publish, redistribute, or use them for commercial purposes, or remove our branding or attribution. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute our other content without our written permission.

Privacy and Data Protection

We process your personal data – including your intake information, call recordings, and email correspondence – in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and your rights. Please read it alongside these terms. Where you share a Deliverable or recording with other people, you become responsible for their handling of that copy.

Limitation of Liability

Our products, tools, services, and website provide general wedding planning information and guidance. We do not guarantee specific outcomes for your wedding. Decisions about your wedding, your vendors, and your legal arrangements are ultimately yours to make.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our website, products, or services, or from your dealings with any vendor or venue. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant product or Consultation.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including any mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence.

Links and Third Parties

Our website may link to external websites such as wedding vendors or venues in Greece, and we use third-party tools such as Stripe (payments), our booking system, and video-call software to deliver our services. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of these third-party sites and services, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via our website. The terms that apply to your purchase are those in force at the time you bought a product or booked a Consultation. Your continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of The Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection laws that may apply in your country of residence.
